Talens make a wide range of brushes, catering for all types and levels of artists. All their brushes are made at their factory in Poland, apart from the Art Creation Brush sets, that are really great value, as they are made in China.

Some of the brushes are very multipurpose, and can be used with varnishes, Indian ink, or even gouache. Usually the brushes are categorised in this way. Just remember that its really important to keep your brushes clean, and wether you are using your brushes for acrylic or oil paint you always need to rinse out with warm soapy water, even after cleaning with Turps (if you have been using oil paint) as this will make your brushes last a lifetime.

Did you know?
Ultramarine is a blue pigment with ‘traces of red’. Mixed with bluish reds it offers numerous possibilities for creating surprising shades of violet. In addition, Ultramarine is often used as a transparent layer in the glazing technique. If applied thinly on a white ground or by mixing it with a little white paint, the characteristic, intense, clear blue colour is created.
