Van Gogh Semi-soft pastels fall in the dry pastel category. They are made of pigments and various types of clay. The semi-soft pastels have a handy square shape and are sturdy and less fragile. Van Gogh Oil pastels are very soft pastels and therefore pleasant to use. They are made of pigment and binders based on mineral oils and waxes. Available both separately and in assortment sets.
