"Flutter Away Butterfly"
I made this card above last week using the Glass Painted Butterfly Topper, which I made a couple of weeks ago and only got round to making something with it last week. Now, that I am on the mend after feeling rather painfully poorly i thought I would share my recent cards made using the Glass Paints.
I have made what is called an Easel Card which is perfectly understood as to why it's called an Easel Card by looking at it on an angle (see below).
I adhered the Butterfly Topper to some paper of the same colours in the Butterfly just of different shades. I left parts of the Topper unpainted as wanted to have some patterned paper showing through, just to be different and try something new. I then finished with embellishing on with paper flowers and ribbon roses and paper roses too and the sentiment "Flutter Away Butterfly". I had mixed the Turquoise Glass Paint with the Opaque White to create the pastel shades of turquoise and have found that I really enjoy mixing the colours of glass paints now. The next part is mixing a colour with another colour to create secondary colours but, this will come in time. Other pictures are seen below on different angles.
Close Up of Butterfly Topper - I have thread on tube beads and pearl beads to make the Antennae on the butterfly to finish the butterfly off and glued.
Close Up, On a Angle View of the Glass Painted Butterfly. This shows the real beauty of the butterfly.
