Cardmaking with Glass painted Celtic Designs

"Celtic Sympathy Card"

Recently, my MIL friends husband passed away, and being as he was so close Paul and I made a joint card to send on our thoughts and prayers and condolences.

The design for his sympathy card was designed with relief paint - the outline of the Celtic cross - and painted with the Decorfin Glass paints. My husband painted onto card and then I cut the cross out and adhered with foam squares to give dimension then adhered to some background paper to lift out the Fuchsia Glass Paint. The other colour used was Violet.

You could use drawing inks to create something like this topper as an alternative and create something softer & more of wash effect. You do not have to limit yourself to using craft materials, you can use artists materials ie. drawing inks as within the range are 18 colours in 11ml and 12 colours in the 490ml.

This was a very simple card to make and worked out to be very effective and was Loved by many, it got the receivers friend's talking, even MIL!

Thanks for looking!
