Have you ever heard of the CPSA? CPSA stands for colored pencil Society of America. What? There's an organization for colored pencils, are you kidding me? Where have I been, I've never heard of such a thing.
The CPSA has a list of colored pencil products acceptable for use in the CPSA international exhibition. I won't go into the entire list however, here are the categories the approved pencils fall under.
- wax and oil-base
- water-soluble
- Woodless - wax and oil-based
- Woodless - water-soluble
