As a learner in pastel I have been buying cheaper papers that have not all been successful. The Rembrandt is so far great I have been able to build thin layers of colour and tone making pleasing art for myself. my level is novice in all aspects of art and drawing, I do not have great experience of other papers but this paper has left me very pleased.
