40ml - Encaustic - Stil de Grain III

Encaustic is a wax-based paint (made of beeswax, natural resin and pigment) which can be worked in a molten state on a heated palette. It’s applied to an absorbent surface in layers and reheated between each to fuse the paint. Encaustic paints are versatile; they can be carved, scraped, layered, sculpted, cast, dipped, textured and collaged with different materials. It cools immediately and can always be reworked. Despite that, encaustic paintings don’t need to be varnished as wax acts as one on its own. Encaustic paints are non-yellowing and won’t darken over time, and they also don’t require solvents.

Available in 102 colours in 40ml and 104ml bars, as well as blacks and whites in 333ml.

UK Delivery

UK delivery starts from £3.50 with free delivery on orders over £30 (excluding the Channel Isles).

Unfortunately due to extra packing and shipping costs, we cannot do this on some product, mainly oversized ones such as large canvases.
