Caligo Safe Wash Relief Ink
Non-toxic oil based printing inks, suitable for a number of different techniques such as linocut, woodcut, letterpress, photopolymer. They are also recommended for fabric printing. The Caligo Safe Wash range are artist quality inks made with vegetable oils (linseed) so they can be washed away with soap and water instead of toxic solvents that harm the environment and are difficult to dispose of.
These inks have the same characteristics of traditional relief inks, they are made of high quality pigments so they are vibrant and have excellent lightfastness. This range contains driers, and can be modified with Caligo Wiping Compound and Tack Reducer or with traditional modifiers like Magnesium Carbonate, Talc, Cobalt.
How to use?
As these inks are water soluble, we advise you not to damp your printing paper for too long. Make sure the paper is blotted thoroughly and alternatively try to just damp the back of the paper wih a sponge or spray a bit of water.
The inks all go through rigorous testing and carry the AP 'approved product' by the ACMI so you can be sure they are safe to use.
The Caligo Safe Wash Relief Ink range comes in 75ml Tubes, 250ml Tins and an additional 500ml Black.

Unfortunately due to extra packing and shipping costs, we cannot do this on some product, mainly oversized ones such as large canvases.
