GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylics
The original acrylics offered by GOLDEN, Heavy Body paints are characterised by exceptionally smooth, buttery consistency and huge range of pure pigment colours.
They are lightfast, permanent and don't contain fillers, extenders, opacifiers or toners and dyes. Each Heavy Body colour reflects the unique qualities of its pigments; colours with higher pigment load dry to a more opaque matte finish, whereas colours that don't tolerate a very high pigment load will have a glossier, transparent finish. As the Heavy Body colours don't have added matting agents, the finish of each colour will be slightly different.
Heavy Body acrylics are known for their thickness - they retain brush strokes and palette knife marks, making them excelellent for expressive painting. They have excellent flexibility when dry, making them a really stable paint that can maintain their integrity in different temperature and humidity conditions. (Although important to note that acrylics harden at 15 °C and freeze below 0.)
Available in 136 colours (including pastel and special effect colours like irridescent, fluorescent and even phosphorescent colours) in different quantities, 59ml (2oz) & 148ml (5oz) tubes, 118ml (4oz) & 237ml (8oz) & 473ml (16oz) & 946ml (32oz) Jars and 3.78L (128oz) Buckets. Different themed sets are also available.
They can be mixed and modified with GOLDEN Mediums, Pastes, Gels. GOLDEN offers their own acrylic gessoes and varnishes to be used with the paints.
UK Delivery
UK delivery starts from £3.50 with free delivery on orders over £30 (excluding the Channel Isles).
Unfortunately due to extra packing and shipping costs, we cannot do this on some product, mainly oversized ones such as large canvases.
