Purpose: Making work in oil pastel and wax crayon smudge-proof and water-repellent

Composition: Synthetic dispersion in water with built-in surfactants

Qualities:

  • Dries within one hour to a colourless and transparent finish
  • Gives a satin gloss
  • Dries waterproof
  • Has hardly any effect on the colours
  • Can be thinned with water
  • Shake before use

    I love this Oil Pastel varnish. It's better for so many reasons than any otgher I have come across on the market.

    This is by far in my opinion the best Oil Pastel varnish. It leaves a very subtle covering and is satin in it's appearance. It's just a shame nooone can tell you how to actually use it. Not even Talens have the answers. Thank fully, I am a good Oil Pastellist so could work it out for myself. Anyone needs help ,do give me a shout. It's also a shame that it is as expensive as it is. Thankfully I art supplies keep the -price reasonable. It's better than Sennilier but more expensive. Having said that , given the choice I would ALWAYS use this whenever I can. The finish it gives your paintings is far superior to anything else I have used so far! 10/10 for quality 5/10 for normal price (although 7/10 from I art supplies) 8/10 ease of use 10/10 for protection of your paintings..
