I love these stitch bound sketchbooks because they are professional looking and not too expensive either. I particularly love the square format ones for my own personal choice. I prefer the smaller one though as can pop into my handbag just for that "got the urge to draw" feeling. The paper is good quality for quick sketching or more detailed drawings and the type of sketchbook it is is ideal for all those college shows for people to look through. It is ideal also for writing notes in it as well and the weight of the paper allows for gluing in any magazine cut outs too. Handy for art journals also. Yes! It is a rather chunky sketchbook but again for me I like that. It stands out and there are 92 sheets of paper that you can fill up happily. You can use watercolour paint on the paper but I wouldn't suggest acrylic and oils for the weight of the paper will not handle the weight of the paint. But only use watercolour paint if doing quick sketchy paintings for reference.
