The Workshop is at Unit 18, MidWynd, DD1 4JG (around the corner from our shop on Perth Road in Dundee).

This workshop aims to demonstrate the versatility of acrylic paints and the associated auxiliary products. Acrylic has risen in popularity since its invention in the 1950s. It dries quickly and is odour free making it an excellent medium for professionals and amateurs who don’t want the hassle of using oil paints which dries slowly and incorporates the use of solvents such as turpentine and other volatile substances.
Unlike oil painting which has many rules and procedures in its application, acrylics offer a freedom of use unlike other mediums. Acrylic can be used in a multitude of ways from ‘traditional’ painting to more experimental techniques due to its versatility and this workshop aims to explore some of the many possibilities of this medium, particularly when combined with the various range of mediums and gels available.
This includes collage, impasto and many other techniques that illustrate the endless possibilities acrylic paint offers….the only limitation is the imagination.
Materials and aprons are provided so you just need to bring yourself.
Local Professional Artist & Host, Jonathan Hood, will be focusing on things like what the paint is, its technical properties, the correct and incorrect applications of it, how to use all the various mediums and mixers that are available these days.

- Either way if you do get charged shipping the workshop, we will refund it!

- Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds if workshops are missed with less than 48 hours notice.
- However if they have had to be cancelled on our part we will either refund, or transfer the booking to another date acceptable to yourself.
- If there is not sufficient attendees, then we may have to postpone. In this event we will offer a new date for a workshop, or a refund.

UK Delivery
UK delivery starts from £3.50 with free delivery on orders over £30 (excluding the Channel Isles).
Unfortunately due to extra packing and shipping costs, we cannot do this on some product, mainly oversized ones such as large canvases.
